Mrs. Audrey Mwala is a Fellow Charted Management Accountant (CIMA) UK, a Certified Public Private Partnership Specialist (IP3) USA, a Certified Project Finance Specialist (IP3) USA, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration.
She is currently leading the Malawi PPP Commission and has lead a 5 years Utility Reform World Bank project, chairs the Board of ASB and other board Committees.
She is a PPP specialist, and a business due diligence, financial modeler, financial management and project management specialist with vast experienced in Project Finance, Project Management, Project Risk Analysis, Privatization and Public Private Partnership (PPP) Structuring.
She has taken leading roles for feasibility studies for feasibility study business case assessment for projects in Office building, Students hostels, Port Cargo clearing Centre, Game Reserves, Petroleum storage facilities, toll roads feasibility, including project management, contract management, and contract negotiations. She has championed private sector investment in banks, railways, marine, real estate and in ICT. She has extensive experience, developing financial models, carrying out risk, economic, market analysis and financial analysis for PPP projects.
She is a personal finance expert and has used mass media to give personal finance tips and lectures through mobile telephone messages, TV programme, Radio. In addition Mrs. Mwala is also authoring a book entitled “Personal Finance – How to create wealth & successfully manage Personal Finances”
She an experienced public speaker has delivered training workshops on wealth creation, project due diligence, Project finance, Financial Modelling, Project Life Cycle, Risk Management, PPP Legal Frameworks, project case studies Public Private Partnerships and Personal finance in Dubai, South Africa, Tanzania and Malawi.
She has extensive practical hands-on experience in Corporate Governance, serving as non-executive director in a wide spectrum of corporate boards over a period of 10 years.
She is a founder of a consulting and training firm called Sycamore Consult Limited and a founder of a micro finance Company, Sycamore Credit Limited.
