The National Treasury & Planning of Kenya invites eligible consulting firms to express their interest in providing transaction advisory services for the Ultra-modern Medical Training Complex PPP Project.
Financed from the World Bank, the consulting services include two phases:
- to undertake a feasibility study of the proposed project
- to advance the project to procurement stage through provision of the necessary support to the contracting authority.
The services will be implemented over a period of 18 months with an expected start date of July 2022. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. The transaction advisor will comprise a firm or a consortium of firms providing the requisite financial, legal, academic/healthcare, environmental and social expertise managed by a lead advisor.
Kenya currently experiences a key shortage of health workers of all levels. The project aims to boost the increase of health workers and facilitate the attainment of universal healthcare in the country. The Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital College of Health Sciences Project is seen as one of the potential drivers of this success.
The project is expected to comprise teaching facilities that include 32 classrooms that can accommodate an estimated 3,000 students, staff offices, two skills labs, one library, an administration block, student accommodation space to house up to 800 students and games and recreational facilities. The project will also include a component of facilities management.
Deadline for submission of EOI is March 22, 2022.
