The Ministry of Health (MoH) of Saudi Arabia announced in March 2020 the launch of the Expression of Interest (EoI) of the Alansar Hospital PPP as the first step for the private sector to bid for the transaction. The new Alansar Hospital will be located in Almadinah Almunawwarah with a planned clinical capacity of to 244 beds, which exceeds the clinical capacity of the previous facility by 170%, with annual visits expected to be beyond 400,000 visits for the new hospital.The transaction includes the constructing of a new hospital with higher clinical capacity equipped with innovative designs and capabilities. With launch of the EoI of Alansar Hospital MoH targets attracting infrastructure developers, contractors, and consortiums to deliver the project under a BMT (design, build, equipment procurement, operations and maintenance) model. Interested bidders can submit their EoI until March 31, 2020. The EoI requirements and information are posted on the MoH and NCP websites. Alansar Hospital is the first transaction to be launched under the “Establishing and operating hospitals PPP initiative” under the Privatization Program, a Vision 2030 Program.
