Saudi Arabia Launches EOI for Social Care Homes for Individuals with Disabilities

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), in cooperation with the National Centre for Privatization & PPP has announced the launch of Social Care Homes project (SCHs) and invited private parties to express the interest. The SCHs will deliver residential services, social care, and facilities management services aligned with prevailing international best practices and approaches for delivering such services to people with disabilities.

The project provides 150 Social Care Homes within both Riyadh and Jeddah to support 559 individuals with varying degrees of disabilities. The SCHs will support beneficiaries to life quality, meaningful lives, encouraging their autonomy and respecting their lifestyle choices and personal preferences in a “person-centered” approach. This initiative comes in line with Saudi 2030 vision and the Ministry’s transition from a service provider to a service regulator.

The authorities have completed all the studies and regulatory preparations to develop the SCHs project in partnership with the private sector under a Purchase-Finance-Maintain-Operate-Transfer (PFMOT) model.

The deadline to submit the application: February 27, 2022.
